Diyabet Derneği'ne destek amacı ile etkinlik düzenlendi.
“Tervetuloa Restaurant, Alsancak was transformed into a wonderful venue for the Magical Moments from the Music Hall performed for us by the newly formed Gems, Girne Edwardian Music hall Society on Friday 17th January.
We were greeted by a very elegantly dressed Francine Ash who was also the musical director and accompanist on keyboard for the evening. She was well supported by Mike Redman on the banjo, who treated us to several splendid solos.
When we were all seated, the meal was served promptly and was of the standard we have become accustomed to from the restaurant’s Afet and her family.
As the show was about to start we were treated to the delightfully sonorous voice of Michael Raine who was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening , giving us the usual banter we all know and love from our memories of Music Halls past.
The eight person company then entertained us with songs well remembered and invited us to join in, which everybody did with gusto. The comedy songs raised loud cheers and much stamping of feet. Everyone in the company deserves a mention for their wonderful offerings and so it is not possible to single out any one person, each of them gave us something different and memorable.
A good time was had by all.”
Grahame Ash, spokesman and administrator for GEMS, said “The above contribution was one of many complimentary comments made by customers.
Indeed many wanted to know when our next production will be. Certainly there is a demand for the Music Hall and this will, due to customer feedback become a regular January event. We could have performed for three nights following a surge in late bookings. In 2015 we will be performing for three nights, perhaps even four depending on demand.”
